Lane's
Amplification - ALWAYS EDEN!
|
|
Lane is
proud to endorse and use Eden
amplifiers and speakers exclusively. An Eden endorser since
1996, he owns no other amplifiers. David "Eden" Nordschow
and company build bulletproof, great sounding gear and back
it with the finest customer service in the industry. Since early
2005, Lane has also served as the company's Special Projects
Coordinator.
"I've
been in love with Eden tone since I heard my first Eden rig.
To this day, no one has been able to show me anything close.
The amp should act as a translator, faithfully recreating what
I hear inside me, so the audience hears it, too. Regardless
of size, my Eden rigs allow me to focus solely on the music,
on expressing myself. Every note is exactly as I think it and
execute it."

Strings
& Things

After using
DR Strings for more than a decade, Lane is now an endorser of
the company. He uses Black Beauties, High-Beam XLs, and Rare
A/E strings..

LM
Products manufactures the finest straps in the business. Lane
uses several of their top-line leather straps, and hangs his
basses on nothing else. Period.
Rack
Cases and Bass Safe courtesy of SKB
cases.
All
instrument cables are made by Lane's friend, bassist Butch
Ammons of Bayou
Cables.
Tuning
is done with a Peterson StroboStomp tuner.
All
set-ups and modifications to Lane's basses are performed by
Alan Wait of MB Music, Danville, IL. Thanks, Alan!

Other
Basses
Of course,
all basses are black
for darker tone!

"Many
thanks to Matt Cantlon, Division Manager of Washburn Guitars,
for providing me with a Bantam
Bass BB-6 - in custom black finish! Originally
intended solely for my training trips for Eden, this one has
found it's way into my hands for personal practice, rehearsals,
even gigs."
Lane
also uses a Washburn custom semi-hollow body in translucent
black.
Fender
Mike Dirnt P-Bass
- Used as a back-up to the Thunder Bass and on Blues Gigs.
Fender
Electric-Acoustic
- Mostly used for writing but also used when Lane needs an acoustic
axe for Blues and such. Lane also has a Squier version of this
one.
Kawai
SomethingOrOther
- There's no model number on this one and Lane's slept thousands
of times since he got it. This baby features a P-J setup and
is strung B-E-A-D. Hasn't seen the light of stage or studio
for more than a decade, but it may show up on stage again soon.

A
Word on Endorsements
I
use every product I endorse. Period. My name and my reputation
are not for sale, as some companies have come to learn the hard
way. I have used nothing but Eden amps for more than a decade.
The same is true of DR strings and SKB cases. While I do own
several basses, my Spector has been my main bass since 1995.
My Turner Renaissance Bass is all I use for fretless work. If
you have any questions about any of the gear I use, feel free
to send me an e-mail.
I'll get back to you as quickly as my schedule allows. - Lane
