Bass Player Magazine

Cesar Diaz Amplifiers
"I was fortunate to know The Amp Doctor for many years before his untimely death. Today his wife and son carry on with his original designs. If you know a guitarist that needs a tone transplant, the Doctor has the cure. If your guitarist doesn't agree that Diaz pedals have the best tone in the world - bar none - I suggest you fire him and get someone with a better ear."

Carol Kaye
The Godmother of all bassists. Carol is, without a doubt, one of the most recorded (and best!) bassists in history. If you don't know about her already, it's high time you did! You won't believe how many times you've heard her bass on songs you grew up with. Carol has taught thousands of bassists, including Lane. She has a full catalog of books and videos available at her site. Check her out and tell her Lane said HI!

The Bottom Line Archive
The Bottom Line (TBL) is a private e-mail news forum. Currently, approxiamtely 1500 professional and semi-pro bassists subscribe and contribute to this daily production. Steve Manes administers and moderates the list while Steven Zaretsky maintains the web site. Both do a great job, by the way! Check out the back issues, read articles, reviews and lessons, and subscribe if you dare!
